Principal Investigator: Dr. Shailesh Gupta, MD; and Dr. Sirtaz Sibia, DO
Dr. Shailesh Gupta, a board-certified ophthalmologist and lifelong Floridian, obtained his medical degree from the University of Miami School of Medicine. He completed his residency and fellowship at the University of Florida, where he now serves as an assistant professor and director of the vitreo-retinal fellowship program. Dr. Gupta has practiced medicine since 1997 and has served as a Principal Investigator in research for over seven years. With several dozen publications and over 20 years of membership in the Association for Research in Vision and Ophthalmology, Dr. Gupta is a respected leader in the field.
Dr. Sirtaz Sibia graduated from Nova Southeastern University with his Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine degree in 1995, earning Dean’s List honors. He completed his residency at Michigan State University, where he was appointed Chief Resident and served as a faculty clinical instructor. Dr. Sibia is an active member of the American Osteopathic Association, the American Academy of Ophthalmology, and the American Osteopathic Colleges of Ophthalmology and Otolaryngology. Since 2013, Dr. Sibia has been a Principal Investigator in various studies, and he has delivered numerous scientific presentations and completed advanced courses in LASIK and endoscopic brow lift procedures.
